Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico to a family of musicians. When she was a kid, she listened to a lot of traditional music as well as old Boleros. They also played traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana loves the opera and tango genres as well as the various forms of dramatic performing. She was taught by her mother to sing, and she began more intensive vocal training by Flavio Belcerra at 16 when the singer was famous as a Mexican opera tenor. She furthered her training in music at the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. She sang in Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities as a young student and professional. After 2000, she moved in the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. After 2007, she re-located to her home in southern California. She currently performs classical Latin American songs at private performances as a soloist. She is involved with many local activities, both an instructor and performer because of her passion for music and art. Ana was also part of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher in The Performance Loft. Ana is thankful for being able to share her passion and passion of the traditional Latin American songs with others as she hopes to instill a sense of, especially among younger generations to keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
