MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer has made significant inroads towards Latin pop. Una Lady Como Tu (his smash hit from 2016) won an Colombian Kids Choice Award, 2017 Favorite Song. In Medellin, Sony distributed La Industria Inc. and then released ADN as his debut full-length album. In the Top Latin Albums chart, it reached No. 8. Vaina Loca, which was an album that was a Top Five smash hit in 2010 featured him along with Ozuna. Mala Influencia is made available in 2020 by Noriel and her Dopamina album the following year. In 2021 he produced a duet for TINI's hit single Maldita Foto. The hit song La Bachata from 2000 was made available in 2023. Turizo was brought up in a music-oriented environment as both his mother & younger brother are musicians. In interviews, he has stated that music is a must. As a child he learned to play the saxophone and the ukulele, and piano. His initial choice of career was to become a vet However, his brother Julian encouraged him to learn how to sing under an instructor from a Cuban instructor. What happened was that he found his talents for singing, and the result changed the course his life.
